Day 18 - The Showcase

The Showcase is located inside the Confederation Centre of Arts and specializes in finely crafted Island pottery, wood working, fused glass, jewellery, original paintings and Canadian made products. Their first priority is locally made Prince Edward Island items, followed by Atlantic Canadian made items and distinctive products from across the country.

The Showcase opened in 1965 and are part of Confederation Centre of the Arts, a not-for-profit, charitable organization, with volunteers assisting the gift shop staff. All profits from The Showcase go back to the Centre to support arts programming. The shop was voted top 5 Craft Retailer for Atlantic Canada at the Atlantic Canada Craft Awards of Excellence.

#MyDowntownWishList includes:

unique wooden bowls

colourful fused glass vases

glass friendship balls

delicious Lady Baker’s Tea

tickets from the Confederation Centre Box Office for a fun night out!

Tracy and I are going to "Cinderella: A Fairy Tall Tale"  tonight – can’t wait! I've been to many plays/musicals/shows at the Confederation Centre over years (including Anne of Green Gables when I was a little girl). We are truly lucky to have the Confederation Centre, the high quality and variety of entertainment is outstanding. Such a wonderful Christmas gift to buy your family/friends - an evening they won't forget!

Drop by the Showcase at 145 Richmond Street (or use their Queen Street entrance). You can also visit their websiteFacebookTwitter and Pinterest.

Another winner will be randomly chosen today for #MyDowntownWishList - I hope you are the lucky one. Remember, the more photos you share from your downtown shopping experience, the more chances you have to win :)
