Next on
my list is Art 146 on Victoria Row, tucked away in a lower level space on 146
Richmond Street. I met Vicente Ramirez the Art Dealer and Owner and he raved
about the brilliant talent of our Island artists. Vicente is from Puerto Rico
and has been an art dealer for 10 years. Here is a short CBC video interview
that talks about his vision for the gallery when he opened the doors earlier
this year. You can find Art 146 on Facebook,
Twitter or via their website.
I was
also blown away by our Island artists showcased in his gallery. There is
something for all price ranges – big or small, from prints to canvas.
#MyDowntownWishList includes:
Artist:
Tricia MacNeil Baldwin
Artist:
Karl D. MacKeeman
And this
oil on canvas piece, which is not for sale called
"Stela" - Vicente's beautiful daughter.
I
encourage you to take a walk down Victoria Row and check out this unique
gallery filled with beautiful artwork. Don't forget to use #MyDowntownGiftList
when you find your favourite painting, you may just win a $100 pre-paid MasterCard.
